This is a presentation I developed for leading a classroom discussion of my favorite non-beowulf piece of Old English Poetry: The Wanderer. It condenses several scholarly articles into short digestible snippets and provides discussion questions related to those articles. There is a healthy dose of Memes, which I fear have become increasingly less effective with recent cohorts of students, but still help to lighten the load of a poem which can be a bit heavy to talk about. This was originally designed for an online class during the height of Covid, so the small doses of humor felt necessary to me at the time.
